Find out more about how business vehicle finance specialist Fleetdrive are helping Acorn Maintenance Engineering to save £30000 a year from their vehicle running costs. Acorn historically operated an open policy, allowing their drivers to choose any car within a budget, and purchased them outright. They decided to move to leasing with a maintenance package built in to aid budgeting and smooth their cash flow. They also decided to restrict drivers to a choice of only 2 vehicles, which required careful consideration to ensure that drivers remained happy. Fleetdrive offered valuable advice on a range of vehicles and their running costs, helping Acorn to a decision that has not only saved significant sums of money, but has even attracted compliments and thanks from the drivers. Why personal contract hire?
Posted in: Car Lease Hire | Comments (0)
Alongside buying a house, a car is one of the most expensive single purchases people will make. The rules also suggest that it is also the quickest depreciating item and loses value as soon as it is driven off the showroom forecourt. Personal contract hire is one of the ways of negating the effects of depreciation when looking at a new car.
Personal contract hire operates the same manner as Company Contract Hire expects the vehicle is solely for private individuals. Personal Contract Hire means that you take responsibility for the lease of a car over a specific period, after which you simply return the car to the dealer.
The dealer calculates the value of the car once the contract period has ended, a part of this calculation is that drivers agree to stick to a specific annual mileage; failure to do this will incur certain costs.
The benefits are that both new and used cars can be hired on a fixed price cost, which tends to be lower than a personal loan. Road tax and maintenance can be included in the agreement and as you will not have to sell the car at the end of the agreement there are no depreciation worries.
Lower costs mean you can perhaps lease a more expensive car than would ordinarily be available to you under a purchase agreement.
There is of course the fact that under these agreements you will never own the car or have the option to buy it and will have to take out fully comprehensive car insurance

contract hire">The benefits of car contract hire
Posted in: Car Lease Hire | Comments (0)
Personal car leasing has become increasingly popular in the UK yet many drivers who could benefit from leasing their car are still taking out car loans or hire purchase to acquire their vehicles. The main reason for this reluctance to lease is usually the lack of knowledge of the benefits of leasing and the confusion caused by the terminology that surrounds it. The more information and knowledge that you have on a subject, the more likely you will be to find the best deals and to negotiate better terms of any agreement.
A car is not like a house which usually appreciates in value after purchase. When you drive away in your brand new car it is already losing value. If you take out a car loan or hire purchase agreement to purchase a car you are simply paying a set amount a month for something that is losing, not gaining value.
Some principal benefits of car contract hire:
• Monthly repayments will be on average between 35% and 55% less costly than the repayments on a car loan. Also, in the majority of lease agreements, only a small deposit is necessary, usually amounting to 3 monthly payments.
• One of the biggest attractions of car leasing is that you are able to drive away in a car that might be out of your price range in terms of purchase price.
• The car’s warranty will normally cover the period of the lease and all maintenance costs can be covered. Road tax is also usually included in the lease.
• No huge up-front costs, capital outlay or car loans.
• Fixed price motoring where most costs remain the same for the period of the lease.
• You can have a brand new car every two to four years with contract hire.

Better conditions for car lessees and borrowers
Posted in: Car Lease Hire | Comments (0)
Last month’s car sales were the second best of any month since September 2008, according to Autodata. That startling fact is predominantly due to the recovery of the automotive financing industry.
Nearly 89% of car shoppers borrow money or lease their vehicles instead of paying with cash, according to CNW Marketing Research. When the money dried up during the recession, many people were left without a way to buy a car. During this time, big lenders started to restrict borrowing. GMAC limited its lending to consumers whose credit scores were higher than 700, which is considered a good score. But now, many lenders seem to be turning the corner, which is great if your credit is less than stellar and you’re looking to contract hire.
Leasing ratings and approvals fell dramatically in 2008 and 2009 because of the collapse of used-car prices for SUVs and other fuel-inefficient luxury cars and because of the ensuing credit crisis. Auto lessors have lost $10.5 billion since 2005 due to overestimating the residual value of their leased vehicles, according to CNW Research.
Dealerships are also noticing the change in lending attitudes. Penske Automotive, one of America’s largest dealership groups, says it’s seeing an increase in the approval rates for automotive financing. Lending units for Honda, Toyota and Mercedes-Benz are starting to issue more loans and lease agreements.
Improved access to leasing is also a good thing if you are a luxury car shopper or luxury automaker. BMW, Lexus and Audi are heavily leased, with Mercedes-Benz seeing nearly 60%-65% lease rates for its vehicles, according to Automotive News.
The overall effect is that we are starting to see more attractive lease offers and 0% APR lending from automakers, and many consumers are getting approved.

Driving a luxury car.
Posted in: Car Lease Hire | Comments (0)
In this era of complexity where simplicity is quite complex and comes for a higher rate, and where even the mode of transportation plays a major part in deciding upon your class, driving a luxury car is the order of the day. However driving a luxury car doesn’t come handy. You need to sort out a lot of priorities before you purchase one of them. For buying a Mercedes you need to sacrifice a lot during the initial phase of its life. Mercedes lease has made easier but making it available for you in a pretty economical and affordable way.
The leasing venture of the idea has been so far considered very successful for the Mercedes and a lot of profit is raised through this that keeps on increasing day by day. The Mercedes lease was considered to be quite successful and was active in the period of recession as it was considered a method of cost cutting. It has helped make many the proud drivers of the car. The reach under this scheme has been pretty vast.
You might be seeing your neighbor driving a luxury car right beside you while you might be struggling to pay for your middle class car and you might be wondering “where do they get all the money to drive a luxury car?” The answer is simple and obvious. The only option would be leasing. Leasing is similar to that of renting except for the fact that you might be the almost owner of the car for the period that you might have signed the Mercedes lease contract. Even the maintenance cost of the car will be taken care of by the leasing company itself. During that period that only thing that you will have to spend upon would be the fuel cost.

Contract hire is considered to be a highly sensible option
Posted in: Car Lease Hire | Comments (0)
The contract hire are considered to be highly sensible option when it comes to your business. It is one of the best money savers that helps increase your cash flow with large margins. With the current recession recovering economic climate all of us are willing to do the best for our business and the most important of that is to meet the client face to face. For this you need to travel a lot and can’t expect to take your vehicle wherever you go. In such a case what else could be a better option than contract hire. There are times when you also need to impress your client which makes it necessary for you to drive in a luxury car and even in this case contract hire is the only option.
This opens up the opportunity for more field visits and the cost incurred is comparatively lesser than that of owning a car in case of hiring a car. The contract hire helps the business to anticipate the accurate budget for the business. They also help reducing the administrative expenses. They are considerably a big relief over the tax burden as you will get a reimbursement of the amount that you have paid as VAT to contract hire the vehicle as it is considered as an expense and not as an investment.
In case of owning the car of high luxury you will have to make your venture highly expensive this might not be possible for most of us. In case like that it the contract hire is the best possible option as you can lay your hands on any of the cars at a very economical rate. All that you have to do is to choose the car that you like and make arrangements for the down payment which again needn’t be heavy and make sure that you have monthly regular income that will help you to pay the interest for the hired car. Once you are done with this you read the contract document clearly without missing any of the terms and the conditions and then you sign it. This way you enter into contract hire and help you business grown in folds that you might have considered impossible.
